I want to run a marathon, but I don’t know if my will power is where is should be for  13.1 or 26.2 mile run. So I was thinking I could tempt myself with a tattoo that would be tied to this particular adventure.

It would also be significant in that as I travel through life I’ll have my own little reminder that someone/thing is watching over me— Hermes (the messenger of the Gods in Greek mythology) watches over travelers and runners alike. His symbol is the winged sandal from which my tattoo would be based.
